Nice looking audax.

Prey is a funnel web spider.

Jumpers are excellent stalkers and love to capture other small to large spiders, even their own kind.

Interesting pics. Thanks for sharing. I had no idea they would go after their own kind like Jeff said.

Does "small to large" mean they will go after things larger than themselves?

Yeah, that's what I meant, especially phids. Other jumpers also capture prey larger than themselves, but many prefer small, easily managed prey. A well fed jumper is much less likely to tangle with larger prey though.

They are powerful spiders and when possible like to sneak up from behind on insects and spiders then jump and bite on the back of the head or the body right behind the head. They prey is basically helpless that way and usually can't defend itself.
